Sete Lisboa - Festival Internacional de Arte Contemporânea : Group Exhibition

16 October - 2 November 2024

Since 2019 the Association SLA, from the town of Sète in the south of France, has been running a completely free international contemporary art festival every two years.

Its purpose is to express art in all its forms: visual arts, literature, music, video, culinary creation, theatre... SLA is a nomadic festival that aims to travel the world and create permanent links between artists from Sète and elsewhere.

The festival opens in Sète in September and a second part takes place during the autumn in a twinned town.

After Sète-Los Angeles in 2019 and Sète-Palermo in 2022, the association is organizing the Sète-Lisbon Festival in 2024. Its Lisboan stage will take place from 15 to 19 October.

In this context, three artists, Alfredo Margarido, André Cervera and Mathieu Kleyebe Abonnenc, are exhibiting at Rui Freire-Fine Art Gallery.

We are pleased to invite you to the opening of their exhibition, which will take place on Wednesday, October 16, between 6 and 8 pm.

On the same occasion, the video “La Force de Coriolis” by Manuela Marques, an artist who has exhibited in 2023 at the gallery, will be screened at the MNAC. The artist is also taking part in the show at the Convento dos Capuchos, which opens on Friday 18th at 1pm.
