Located in the heart of Lisbon’s historic Chiado district, Rui Freire – Fine Art S.A. is a gallery dedicated to the promotion of modern and contemporary art. With a special focus on the New School of Paris and Post-War abstraction, the gallery represents both Portuguese and international artists, fostering a dynamic dialogue between historically significant movements and contemporary artistic practices.
The gallery was founded in 2018, initially under the name of the historic Jeanne Bucher Jaeger gallery in Paris, where Rui Freire served as director (2008-2019) and later as a partner.
Dedicated to excellence, we guide collectors, institutions, and private clients through every stage of the acquisition process, ensuring rigor, discretion, and expertise. Our advisory services extend beyond the gallery space, offering a strategic approach to collection management, acquisitions, and sales, as well as the conception of bespoke projects for interior designers, architects, and private residences.
Since 2019, we have collaborated with the American organization Parley For The Oceans, which develops large-scale projects with artists such as Katharina Grosse and Vik Muniz, among others.
